Hemp Seed Oil with Moringa Oil to soothe Winter chapped lips and dry, cracked skin quickly. 

I have long been a fan of hemp seed oil – derived from the hemp plant and the most broadly allowable use of the plant in NZ or AU. Hemp seed oil is rich fatty acids. As a skincare ingredient is is fabulous for hydration and protection of damaged, dried or mildly inflamed skin – it is great for chapped lips, cracked heels and dry elbows – but it also has a curiously calming effect on the body.

It’s a really helpful product in Winter when your skin dries, but more than that, this Salve heals and soothes minor cuts, abrasions & inflammations overnight, soothes chapped, dry lips, heels and elbows quickly & feels lovely to apply.

You can easily customise the Salve by placing a little in the lid and working a drop of essential oil into it with the spatula (supplied, then applying it directly to your skin.

Adding Breathe Easy Blend for is fabulous for chest congestion & coughing. Stress Less Blend or Deep Rest Blend applied to your feet at after you finish work is an easy fix to a stressful day. Just put on socks, relax with a cup of Chamomile of Ginger tea & feel your stress levels dial down in no time.

Moringa Oil has more bioavailable nutrients than any other plant source, including 36 anti inflammatory compounds & 46 different antioxidants, more Vitamin A than carrots, more iron than spinach, more Vitamin C than oranges, magnesium, iodine, Vitamins B3, B6 & B12.

Hemp Seed Oil is rich in omega three & six, which helps hydrate and nourish your skin. It also helps with minor inflammation and has anti ageing properties. Hemp Seed Oil and Moringa Oil both help strengthen skin barrier. This product is a great choice for people with a compromised barrier function, where there is not advanced inflammation.

Moringa & Hemp Salve – Backstory.

Here’s the backstory for Baliba Moringa & Hemp Salve.

The honest truth behind the creation of this lovely product is that I picked up the wrong bulk oil one day and ended up with an unintended combination of oils in the Salve.

In thinking this outcome through, initially I considered it a mistake and set to improving the labels of my bulk supplies.

Then I started to appreciate what a handy combination moringa & hemp oils are – one with incredible healing literal super-powers and the other rich with hydrating & soothing power.

My next thought was how easily the product would combine with essential oils, as it’s a salve, so I trialed that and discovered only a sheet of alu foil or other non absorbant stock and a drop of essential oil is required to create brilliant new product combinations suitable for chest congestion, stress management, calm support.

Hemp brings in its own right a particularly calming effect on humans, so the calming, soothing effect is inherent.

I used the Salve inside my mouth – it resolved those little inflammations in a couple of days, healed chapped lips overnight and softened rough skin on elbows and knees.

With continued use, cracked hells will soften and smooth.

From accident to awesome – this is a fabulous product!
