This product is 100% organically grown moringa leaf powder sourced directly from the farm where it is produced and processed in southern India.

During the sourcing process, I tried to source Moringa Powder (and moringa seed oil) from farmers in the Cook Islands, and that would definitely be my preference, so remains a work in progress as their industry develops.

In the meantime however, we have undertaken great care in ensuring the product we present to the market is of the highest possible standard.

We store bulk product in vacuum packed bags to ensure it remains fresh.

Important information about purchasing Moringa Leaf Powder in New Zealand

The rules in NZ are somewhat contrary.

• Consumers may purchase and consume moringa powder with no restrictions in place.
• Retailers however, may not sell Moringa Powder as a ‘human food’ or ‘nutritional supplement’.

Moringa Powder is presently classified as a Novel Food in New Zealand and Australia. This means that it is what authorities in these countries view as a not commonly consumed food item, thus requiring further research before allowing products to be widely sold as a food item. This research is presently under discussion. There is however no restriction on purchase or consumption of moringa and it is safe to consume (please see our recommended areas of caution below).
People with serious health concerns should consult with their GP or medical professional before consuming this or any other novel food item. We recommend it not be consumed by people who have organ failure diagnosis, organ transplants, people with abnormally high potassium or iron count or (as a general principle for supplements) during pregnancy without medical consultation.

Moringa may lower blood pressure if consumed regularly in large quantities.
